What is marktbreit?

Marktbreit is a town located in the district of Kitzingen in the state of Bavaria, Germany. It has a population of around 2,500 people and covers an area of 12.11 square kilometers. The town is situated on the banks of the river Main and is known for its historic old town which features many well-preserved half-timbered houses from the 16th and 17th centuries. Marktbreit is also home to several notable landmarks including the 13th-century castle ruins of Klingenberg and the picturesque market square with its baroque town hall. The town is famous for its wine and hosts an annual wine festival in August which attracts visitors from all over the region.
