Mayo Chiki! is a Japanese light novel series written by Hajime Asano and illustrated by Seiji Kikuchi. The story follows Kinjirō Sakamachi, a high school boy who suffers from gynophobia, which causes him to faint every time a girl touches him. His life changes when he discovers that the butler of his wealthy classmate, Subaru Konoe, is actually a girl named Kanade Suzutsuki who cross-dresses as a boy. Together they embark on a series of hilarious misadventures and romantic entanglements.
Mayo Chiki! was adapted into a manga series, which was serialized in the Monthly Comic Alive magazine from August 2010 to February 2013. The anime adaptation, produced by J.C. Staff, aired in Japan in 2011. The series consists of 13 episodes and covers the first five volumes of the light novel series.
