What is mcrx?

MCRX, short for My Chemical Romance X, was a teaser campaign launched by the rock band My Chemical Romance in 2016. The band went on a hiatus in 2013 after releasing their fourth studio album "Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys" in 2010.

Fans speculated that MCRX could potentially be a reunion or a new album announcement from the band. However, on September 23, 2016, the band announced a 10th-anniversary reissue of their iconic album "The Black Parade" along with a special edition release titled "The Black Parade/Living with Ghosts" that included previously unreleased demos and tracks.

Despite the excitement generated by the MCRX teaser campaign, the band did not announce any plans to reunite or release new music together.My Chemical Romance eventually announced their reunion in 2019, much to the delight of their fans.
