What is minkey?

Minkey is a portmanteau of the words "miniature" and "monkey." It is used to describe a small type of monkey, specifically the pygmy marmoset. Pygmy marmosets are the smallest monkeys in the world, typically weighing only 3-5 ounces and measuring around 5-6 inches in length. They are native to the rainforests of South America and are known for their high-pitched calls and agile climbing abilities. Pygmy marmosets are social animals that live in family groups and communicate with each other through a series of chirps, whistles, and clicks. They primarily feed on tree sap, insects, and fruits. Due to their small size and adorable appearance, pygmy marmosets are sometimes kept as pets, although this practice is controversial and often discouraged due to the complex care requirements of these animals.
