What is monteynard?

Monteynard is a small village located in the southeastern part of France, in the Isère department of the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region. It is situated on the banks of the Monteynard Lake, which is an artificial reservoir created by the construction of a hydroelectric dam on the Drac River.

Monteynard is a popular tourist destination for outdoor activities, such as hiking, cycling, and water sports, thanks to the scenic natural surroundings of the lake and the mountains. Visitors can also enjoy the panoramic views of the region from the nearby suspension bridge, which spans the lake and is a popular attraction in the area.

The village has a small population of around 300 people, and its historical buildings and churches reflect its rural and agricultural past. Local farm products, such as cheese and honey, are also popular with tourists.
