What is moscheen?

Moscheen is the German word for mosques. Mosques are important places of worship and community gathering for Muslims, who come together to pray, learn and seek guidance from Allah. They are often beautifully designed structures with intricate decorations and minarets (towers), which serve as a symbol of both religious and architectural significance. The walls may be adorned with elaborate calligraphy, which often contains verses from the Quran, Islam’s holy book. The main prayer hall of a mosque is used for congregational prayers, while smaller rooms or sections of the mosque may be reserved for Islamic classes, Islamic studies, or community events. Mosques serve as the heart of a Muslim community and are places of reflection, learning, and spiritual growth. They can be found all over the world, with some of the most famous ones being in Saudi Arabia, Turkey, India, and Egypt.
