What is mosh?

Mosh is a remote terminal application that allows users to establish secure, persistent connections to remote servers. It was developed in 2012 as an alternative to traditional SSH connections which can be unstable and slow, especially on high-latency networks. Mosh uses UDP instead of TCP to provide a more responsive experience, even on slow or unreliable network connections. It also includes features such as automatic roaming and reconnection, local echo, and support for multiple sessions. Mosh is available for Unix, Linux, and macOS operating systems, as well as Android and iOS mobile devices. It is free and open source software licensed under the GNU GPL.
