What is nijigaku?

Nijigasaki High School Idol Club (also known as "Nijigaku") is a Japanese multimedia project created by Sunrise, Lantis, and ASCII Media Works. It is a spin-off series of the popular Love Live! franchise, which focuses on a group of girls who form an idol club to save their school from closing down. Nijigaku features a new set of twelve girls who attend Nijigasaki High School, each with their own unique personalities and talents.

The project includes various forms of media, such as anime episodes, live concerts, and mobile games. The anime adaptation premiered in October 2020 and consists of 13 episodes. The mobile game, Love Live! School Idol Festival ALL STARS, allows players to collect and train the Nijigaku idols along with those from previous Love Live! series.

Nijigaku has gained a dedicated fanbase and has produced popular songs such as "Muteki-kyuu*believe," "SUPERNOVA," and "Sing & Smile!!!" It also promotes the message of following one's dreams and working hard to achieve them.
