Ostseestadion is a multi-purpose stadium located in Rostock, Germany. It is primarily used for football matches and is the home stadium of F.C. Hansa Rostock, a German professional football club. The stadium was opened on August 23, 1954, and has a seating capacity of 29,000 people.
Over the years, the Ostseestadion has hosted numerous international matches and has also been used for concerts and other events. In 2004, a major renovation was carried out to upgrade the stadium's facilities, including the installation of a modern floodlight system, improved seating and catering facilities, and new dressing rooms.
Although the Ostseestadion has played host to some of Germany's most exciting matches over the years, it has rarely been used for international events in recent times. Despite this, it remains a popular venue for Bundesliga and regional league football matches, as well as other sporting and cultural events.
