What is ourboox?

Ourboox is a free online platform that enables individuals and organizations to create, share, and promote digital books (e-books). It was founded in 2012 by Mel Rosenberg and Ran Shternin, both professors at Tel Aviv University, with the mission to democratize book publishing and make it accessible to everyone.

Ourboox offers a user-friendly interface that allows users to easily create and publish their own books, complete with text, images, and multimedia content. Books can be shared publicly or privately, and can be embedded on websites or shared on social media.

One of the unique aspects of Ourboox is its social features, which encourage collaboration and engagement between creators and readers. The platform allows users to follow each other, like and comment on each other's books, and even co-author books together.

Since its launch, Ourboox has grown to include over 50,000 users worldwide, who have collectively created over 70,000 books in 50 different languages. The platform has also received recognition and support from various organizations, including the Israeli Ministry of Education, UNESCO, and Google for Education.
