What is papaloukas?

Sofoklis Papaloukas was a Greek professional basketball player who played for Olympiacos, CSKA Moscow, and the Greek national team. He was born on October 7, 1979, in Athens, Greece, and grew up playing basketball in various Greek clubs. Papaloukas was known for his exceptional court vision, passing skills, and leadership abilities.

Papaloukas won multiple titles with Olympiacos and CSKA Moscow, including the EuroLeague championship in 2006, 2008, and 2009. He was also a regular member of the Greek national team that won the EuroBasket championship in 2005 and finished second in the 2006 FIBA World Championship.

After retiring from professional basketball in 2013, Papaloukas became a basketball coach and currently serves as the head coach of Olympiacos' youth academy. He is considered one of the greatest Greek basketball players of all time and was inducted into the FIBA Hall of Fame in 2017.
