Paris-Soir was a French daily newspaper founded in 1923 by the writers Jean Prouvost and Pierre Lazareff. The newspaper was known for its sensationalist style of journalism and became one of the leading newspapers in Paris during the 1930s.
During World War II, the newspaper was forced to close due to Nazi occupation and was later shut down permanently in 1944. However, it played an important role in French media history, and several journalists who worked at Paris-Soir became prominent figures in French journalism, including Pierre Lazareff, who went on to become the director of France-Soir.
