What is pastic?

Plastic is a synthetic or semi-synthetic material made from organic polymers. The first synthetic plastic, Bakelite, was invented in 1907 by Leo Hendrik Baekeland. In the 1950s, the mass production of plastic began and it quickly became a popular material for various products due to its durability, flexibility, and affordability. Today, plastic is widely used in industries such as packaging, construction, and automotive. However, plastic waste has become an environmental concern due to its non-biodegradable nature and improper disposal. Efforts are being made to reduce plastic consumption and promote recycling and sustainable practices.
