What is patroklos?

Patroklos is a character in Greek mythology and the mythological best friend of the hero Achilles. He is often depicted as a warrior and fighter. According to legend, he was killed by the Trojan prince Hector during the Trojan War. Patroklos' death greatly impacted Achilles and led him to seek revenge against Hector and the Trojans. In some versions of the tale, Patroklos is depicted as a lover of Achilles, adding further emotional weight to his death and Achilles' subsequent actions.
