What is pboh2?

PBOH2, also known as lead hydroxide or lead(II) hydroxide, is a chemical compound composed of one lead atom, two oxygen atoms, and two hydrogen atoms. It is a white or grayish powder that is insoluble in water and organic solvents. PBOH2 is commonly used in the production of lead-acid batteries and as a pigment in the paint and ceramics industry. However, due to its toxicity and environmental impact, its use is restricted in many countries. PBOH2 can be formed by the reaction of lead salts with an alkaline solution or by the precipitation method using sodium hydroxide. When exposed to air, PBOH2 can gradually absorb carbon dioxide and form lead carbonate.
