What is peechee?

PeeChee is a brand name for a type of folder that was popular in the 1970s and 1980s in the United States. The original PeeChee folder was a large manila envelope-like folder with two horizontal internal pockets and a vertical pocket on each side. They were usually decorated with a simple blue ink drawing on the front of two athletes playing sports, such as football or basketball. PeeChee folders were commonly used by students to carry textbooks and papers to and from school. They became a cultural icon and are often associated with the popular culture and trends of the era. Today, vintage PeeChee folders are highly collectible and some nostalgic versions are still available for purchase.
