What is postsecular?

Postsecular refers to a philosophical and cultural shift away from the secularization of society towards a new recognition and appreciation of religion and spirituality. This shift is seen as a response to the limitations of modern secularism and the need for a more integrated approach to the human experience that recognizes the role of both reason and faith. The postsecular worldview recognizes religion as a legitimate and valuable source of meaning and knowledge, as well as a vital component of social and cultural identity. It seeks to bridge the gap between science and religion and encourages dialogue and understanding between different faith traditions. Postsecularism challenges the idea that society can be reduced to a neutral, value-free space, and instead recognizes the importance of social, cultural, and religious contexts in shaping human experience and identity.
