What is quadrilogy?

A quadrilogy is a series of four related works, such as movies, books, or video games, that tell a continuous story or are thematically connected. The term is derived from combining the prefix "quad-" meaning four and the suffix "-logy" meaning a collection of related works.

Quadrilogies are less common than trilogies (a series of three works) but still provide a medium for creators to explore a more expansive narrative or expand upon the themes introduced in the first installment. Quadrilogies allow for deeper character development, world-building, and plot twists, as they have more content to work with than trilogies.

Some well-known quadrilogies include the Alien film series, the Indiana Jones film series, and the Twilight book series. Quadrilogies can be successful with audiences if each installment continues to engage viewers and maintain the quality of storytelling throughout the series.
