Raposas is the Portuguese word for foxes. Foxes are a species of small carnivorous mammals commonly found throughout the world, with different species found in North and South America, Europe, Asia, and Africa. They are known for their distinctive pointed snouts, bushy tails, and excellent hearing and eyesight. Foxes are extremely adaptable animals, and are found in a range of different habitats including forests, grasslands, deserts, and even urban areas. They are primarily nocturnal, and feed on a varied diet of small mammals, birds, insects, and fruit. In folklore and mythology, foxes are often portrayed as cunning and intelligent animals, and are associated with trickery and mischief.
