What is recurse?

Recurse (formerly known as Hacker School) is a self-directed, community-driven educational retreat for programmers in New York City. It provides an inclusive, supportive, and challenging environment for individuals to grow as programmers and problem solvers. Recurse runs several three-month batch programs each year where participants work on their projects, pair program with others, attend talks and workshops, and receive mentorship from experienced programmers. Recurse emphasizes the values of collaboration, curiosity, inclusivity, and respect. Its alumni community includes leaders in technology, open-source, and entrepreneurship, who continue to support one another and push the boundaries of what’s possible in software development.
