What is reikin?

Reiki is a type of energy healing that originated in Japan in the early 20th century. The word "Reiki" is derived from the Japanese words "rei" and "ki," which mean universal life energy. Reiki healing works by using the practitioner's hands to channel this energy into the recipient's body, promoting physical, emotional, and spiritual healing.

During a Reiki session, the recipient lies down fully clothed while the practitioner places their hands in various positions over the body, depending on the recipient's needs. The practitioner may also use symbols, visualization, and intention setting to enhance the healing energy.

Reiki is often used as a complementary therapy alongside traditional medicine, and it's commonly used to treat stress, anxiety, pain, and depression. It's also used to promote relaxation, peace, and a sense of well-being.

Today, Reiki is practiced around the world and is recognized as a form of alternative medicine. While there is limited scientific research available on its efficacy, many people report positive results and continue to seek out Reiki practitioners for healing and support.
