What is rutuli?

Rutuli was an ancient Italic tribe that lived in central Italy. They are mentioned in Roman mythology as being involved in the founding of Rome. According to the legend, the Rutuli were defeated by the Trojan hero Aeneas, who then established a city that eventually became Rome.
