What is sajjada?

Sajjada is an Arabic word that means "to prostrate oneself." It is often used in reference to the act of performing the sujud or prostration in the Islamic prayer, where the hands, knees, and forehead touch the ground in submission to Allah. Sajjada is also used as a name for someone who is considered pious and devoted, particularly in matters of faith and worship. In some cultures, it is a title given to the head of a Sufi order or the leader of a mosque.
