What is semordnilap?

A semordnilap is a word, phrase, or sentence that produces another word, phrase, or sentence when its letters are reversed. It's essentially a type of palindrome, but instead of resulting in the same sequence, it creates a different one. Some common examples include "stressed" and "desserts", or "live" and "evil".

Semordnilaps are also sometimes referred to as reversals, anadromes, heteropalindromes, semi-palindromes, half-palindromes, reversible anagrams, or word reversals.
