What is shaz?

Shazam is a popular mobile application that enables users to identify songs, movies, TV shows, and other media by capturing a short audio clip. The app analyzes the captured sound, matches it to a massive database of media content, and then provides information about the track or show being played, including the title, artist, album, lyrics, and related information. Shazam was developed in 1999 by a Silicon Valley company named Shazam Entertainment Ltd. and was launched in 2002. In 2018, it was acquired by Apple Inc. and is now available as a built-in app on iPhones and iOS devices.
