What is shilajat?

Shilajit is a natural mineral substance that is primarily found in high altitude regions such as the Himalayas, the Altai Mountains, and the Caucasus Mountains. It is formed over millions of years from the decomposition of plant matter, and is believed to contain over 85 minerals in their ionic form, as well as numerous other beneficial compounds.

Shilajit is traditionally used in Ayurvedic medicine as a rejuvenator and a natural remedy for a wide range of health conditions. It is believed to have anti-inflammatory, anti-oxidant, and immune-boosting properties, and is also used to treat conditions such as arthritis, anemia, depression, and infertility.

Studies have supported many of the health benefits of shilajit, including its ability to improve physical and mental performance, reduce inflammation, and enhance overall vitality and stamina. It is typically consumed in supplement form, although it may also be used topically or in other forms of traditional medicine.
