Siamosaurus is a genus of large predatory dinosaur that lived during the Early Cretaceous period, around 125 million years ago. It was a theropod dinosaur, meaning it was a carnivorous bipedal dinosaur with sharp teeth and claws.
Siamosaurus was first discovered in Thailand and is known from fragmentary fossil remains, including teeth and vertebrae. It is believed to have been a fairly large predator, possibly reaching lengths of up to 8 meters (26 feet) long.
Due to the limited remains found, not much is known about the appearance or behavior of Siamosaurus. It is thought to have been similar in size and shape to other theropods, such as Allosaurus or Spinosaurus.
Siamosaurus was named after the country in which it was discovered, Thailand, which was formerly known as Siam. Its name means "lizard from Siam."
