What is sking?

Skiing is a winter sport that involves gliding over snow using a pair of long, flat skis and poles. Skiers are typically found in mountainous regions that receive significant snowfall, although indoor ski slopes and dry land training facilities exist for year-round training. There are many types of skiing, including alpine (downhill) skiing, cross-country skiing, freestyle skiing, and ski jumping. Skiers often wear special boots, bindings, and clothing to stay warm and comfortable while skiing, and helmets are recommended for safety. Skiing can be a fun and exhilarating form of exercise, but it does require skill and training to avoid injury.
