What is sonorasaurus?

Sonorasaurus is a genus of herbivorous sauropod dinosaur that lived approximately 75-73 million years ago during the Late Cretaceous Period. It was discovered in the Sonoran Desert of Arizona, hence its name.

Sonorasaurus was a large dinosaur, reaching lengths of up to 50-60 feet and weighing around 7-10 tons. It had a long neck, a small head, and a long, whip-like tail. Like other sauropods, Sonorasaurus would have been a quadrupedal animal that fed on vegetation.

Not much is known about Sonorasaurus due to the limited fossil remains that have been discovered. However, it is believed to be a close relative of other sauropods such as Brachiosaurus and Apatosaurus. Sonorasaurus is considered to be one of the few sauropod dinosaurs known from North America.
