What is sst?

SST stands for "Society for Science & the Public," which is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting scientific research and education.

SST was founded in 1921 and is best known for its flagship program, the Intel Science Talent Search (STS), which is a prestigious competition for high school students in the United States to showcase their research projects in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) fields.

In addition to the STS competition, SST also publishes the award-winning magazine "Science News" and provides educational resources and programs to support students and teachers in STEM fields.

SST's mission is to promote the understanding and appreciation of science and to encourage the next generation of scientists and researchers.
