What is suckle?

Suckle refers to the act of a young mammal getting milk from its mother's teat. This is essential for the growth and development of the animal as it provides all the necessary nutrients and antibodies. The process of suckling is instinctual and occurs naturally in most mammalian species, including humans. Suckling also promotes bonding between the mother and offspring and helps develop a strong maternal relationship. In some cases, artificial suckling is necessary to ensure the survival of young animals, especially in situations where the mother is not able to produce enough milk or has abandoned the offspring. This can be achieved through bottle-feeding or nipple-feeding by another lactating female of the same species.
