What is svadistana?

Swadhisthana, also known as the sacral chakra, is the second chakra in the human body located in the lower abdomen and pelvis area. It is associated with the color orange and represents emotions, creativity, passion, and pleasure. Svadistana is said to govern sexual organs, lower back, and hips, and its energies are linked to the water element. When this chakra is balanced, an individual experiences emotional stability, a sense of pleasure, and an abundant life force. However, when it is imbalanced, one may experience issues such as depression, a lack of creativity, and difficulty with intimate relationships. Practicing yoga, meditation, and focusing on orange-colored foods and crystals are some ways to help balance and activate this chakra.
