What is synching?

Syncing refers to the process of coordinating data between different devices or applications so that they have an updated and consistent set of information. This is particularly important when dealing with digital files and services, such as media content, email, contacts, and calendars.

Syncing allows users to access their data from multiple devices without needing to worry about manually updating each one. For example, if someone adds a new contact on their phone, syncing ensures that the contact will also appear on their tablet and computer.

Most syncing is done automatically through cloud-based services that store data online and update all connected devices when changes are made. There are also syncing tools available for specific applications, such as syncing bookmarks on web browsers or syncing playlists on music streaming services.
