What is titurel?

Titurel is a character in Arthurian legend and is known as the father of the Grail King, Percival. He is also believed to be the original owner of the Grail, which was later passed down to his son. Titurel was said to have been a righteous and pious knight who dedicated his life to serving God. He founded a castle where the Grail was kept, and it was believed that only those who were pure of heart could see it. Titurel was often depicted as an elderly man, and his story was retold in various medieval romances, including the German epic poem Parzival by Wolfram von Eschenbach.
