TOEIC (Test of English for International Communication) is a standardized English language proficiency test that measures the English language abilities of non-native speakers in an international business context. It is designed to assess language skills in the workplace, particularly in business, commerce, and industry settings. TOEIC scores are recognized by more than 14,000 organizations in more than 160 countries as an indicator of English proficiency, and are used for hiring, promotion, and professional development purposes. The test consists of two sections: Listening and Reading, and each section is graded on a scale of 0-990. The test is administered around the world by the Educational Testing Service (ETS), which also administers other well-known standardized tests such as the SAT and GRE.
