What is trevoux?

Trevoux is a commune in the Ain department of the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region in eastern France. It is located about 25 kilometers north of Lyon and sits on the banks of the Saône River. It was once the capital of the former province of Dombes and has a rich history dating back to the Roman era.
