What is tu-204?

The Tupolev Tu-204 is a twin-engine medium-range jet airliner that was designed and manufactured by the Russian aerospace company Tupolev. It is capable of carrying between 210-214 passengers in a standard three-class configuration.

The Tu-204 first flew in 1989 and entered commercial service in 1995. It was primarily designed for the Russian domestic market, but also found success with several international airlines. The aircraft was also used by the Russian government as a VIP transport aircraft.

The Tu-204 has a range of approximately 3,947-4,186 miles (6,350-6,750 km) depending on the variant, and a cruising speed of around 528-540 mph (850-870 km/h). It is powered by two Aviadvigatel PS-90A turbofan engines.

Although the Tu-204 was a relatively successful aircraft, production ceased in 2014 due to a lack of demand and competition from newer aircraft models. Tupolev had also developed an extended-range version of the Tu-204 called the Tu-204-300, which had a range of over 5,281 miles (8,500 km).

Overall, the Tu-204 was a reliable and efficient aircraft that served airlines and governments throughout Russia and other parts of the world for over two decades.
