Tuyuhun was a nomadic tribe that lived in the northwestern part of China, specifically in the areas now known as Gansu and Qinghai provinces. They were a mix of various ethnic groups including Qiang, Xiongnu, and Han Chinese.
The Tuyuhun were known for their exceptional horsemanship skills and their strong military presence. They were often involved in conflicts with neighboring tribes and the Tang dynasty of China. The Tuyuhun also had a relatively advanced culture and were skilled in metallurgy, pottery, and textile production.
The Tuyuhun were eventually conquered by the Tang dynasty in the mid-7th century and were assimilated into Chinese culture. However, remnants of their culture and language still exist among some of the ethnic groups in the region today.
