What is up-syndrome?

There is no such medical condition as up-syndrome. It could be a misspelling of Down Syndrome, which is a genetic disorder that affects a person's cognitive abilities and physical growth. Down Syndrome is caused by the presence of an extra copy of chromosome 21. Individuals with Down Syndrome may have characteristic facial features, intellectual disabilities, and increased risk for certain medical conditions, such as heart defects and hearing loss. With early intervention and support, individuals with Down Syndrome can lead fulfilling and meaningful lives.
