VAZ-2106, also known as Lada 1600, is a compact car produced by the Soviet car manufacturer AvtoVAZ, from 1976 to 2001. It was the third generation of the VAZ-2100 series and was initially offered as a four-door sedan. The car features a rear-wheel-drive layout and is powered by a 1.6-liter gasoline engine, producing around 75 horsepower. The car was popular in the Soviet Union and its successor states, as well as in other countries, due to its affordability, simplicity, and reliability. Despite the end of production in 2001, many models remain in use today, especially in rural areas and developing countries.
