What is villeubanne?

Villeurbanne is a commune in eastern France, located in the Rhône department in the region of Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes. It is the largest suburb of Lyon and the second-largest city in the department after Lyon itself. Villeurbanne has a population of around 150,000 inhabitants as of 2021 and covers an area of 14.5 square kilometers. It is known for its cultural diversity, dynamic student population, and green spaces such as the Tête d’Or Park. Villeurbanne is also home to the headquarters of the French electricity company, EDF. The municipality has a good transportation network with bus, tram, and metro services.
