What is vlasotince?

Vlasotince is a town in the southeast of Serbia, located in the Jablanica District. It has a population of around 15,000 people and covers an area of 376 square kilometers. The town is situated at an altitude of 365 meters above sea level, in a hilly terrain at the foot of the Kukavica mountain.

The area around Vlasotince has a long history, with traces of human settlements dating back to prehistoric times. The town itself was founded in the 19th century, during the Ottoman Empire, and it developed as a center of agriculture and trade.
