WHAP stands for World History Advanced Placement, which is a high-level course offered by high schools to prepare students for the Advanced Placement (AP) exam in world history. This challenging course provides students with a deep understanding of the evolution of human societies from ancient times to the present day, including the cultural, economic, political, and technological changes that have shaped our world. Students are expected to analyze and interpret primary and secondary sources, develop historical arguments, and work collaboratively in group projects. The goal of WHAP is to prepare students to succeed in the rigorous AP exam and provide them with the critical thinking skills necessary for college-level work in humanities and social sciences.
