What is wwan?

WWAN (Wireless Wide Area Network) is a type of wireless network that provides internet connectivity over a large geographical area. Unlike Wi-Fi networks, which have a limited range and require a physical connection to a router or access point, WWAN networks use cellular technologies to provide wireless connectivity to devices.

WWAN networks use mobile networks such as 3G or 4G LTE to provide connectivity, and some networks also support 5G technology. WWAN networks are available from mobile carriers and require a subscription and a cellular data plan to use.

WWAN networks are commonly used in remote areas where wired internet infrastructure is not available and in mobile devices such as laptops, tablets, and smartphones. They are also used in IoT (Internet of Things) applications where large numbers of devices need to communicate wirelessly over a wide area.
