What is xstreet?

Xstreet was a virtual marketplace for virtual goods and services that existed within Second Life, a virtual world platform. It was owned and operated by Linden Lab, the creators of Second Life. Xstreet allowed Second Life residents to buy and sell virtual items such as clothing, accessories, furniture, and other digital assets using the platform's virtual currency, Linden Dollars. Xstreet was a popular destination for Second Life residents looking to purchase unique and interesting items for their avatars or virtual environments. However, in 2010, Linden Lab closed Xstreet due to the introduction of the Second Life Marketplace, which offered a more streamlined marketplace experience for users.
