What is yotsuyu?

Yotsuyu is a character from the video game Final Fantasy XIV. She is a tragic figure who was originally a Doman noblewoman who was taken as a child to be a political hostage in the Garlean Empire. She was raised as a Garlean citizen and eventually became a high-ranking official in the Empire.

Despite this, Yotsuyu was plagued by traumatic memories of her past and began to exhibit cruel and sadistic behavior towards those around her. She was eventually taken captive by the player character and their allies, who attempted to rehabilitate her.

Yotsuyu's storyline is widely regarded as one of the most emotionally impactful in the Final Fantasy XIV series, due in part to her complex backstory and sympathetic portrayal.
