What is zanate?

Zanate, also known as Great-Tailed Grackle, is a bird native to North and South America. They are known for their large bodies and long tails, which can make up half of their body length. Zanates have glossy black feathers with an iridescent blue-green sheen in the sunlight.

In the wild, zanates can be found in a variety of habitats including forests, deserts, and wetlands. They often live near human populations and are known to scavenge for food in garbage cans and dumpsters.

Zanates are social birds and are often found in large flocks. They communicate with a variety of calls, including a distinctive "chuckling" sound. They are omnivores, feeding on insects, fruits, grains, and small vertebrates.

In some cultures, zanates are considered a symbol of good luck and are thought to bring prosperity and success. They have also been the subject of folklore and superstition in many Native American tribes.
