Soubin Shahir (born October 12, 1983) is an Indian film director, actor and screenwriter who works predominantly in Malayalam cinema. He started his film career as an assistant director.
Early Career: Before venturing into acting and directing, Soubin worked extensively as an assistant director with prominent directors such as Fazil, Siddique, Rafi-Mecartin and Amal Neerad.
Acting Career: He is known for his comedic and character roles in films like Premam, Charlie, Maheshinte Prathikaaram and Kumbalangi Nights. He is recognized for his natural acting style and versatility.
Directorial Debut: Soubin made his directorial debut with the critically acclaimed film Parava, which featured a cameo appearance by Dulquer Salmaan.
Awards: He won the Kerala State Film Award for Best Actor in 2018 for his performance in the film Sudani from Nigeria.
