What is bongo?

Bongo is an antelope species that belongs to the genus Tragelaphus and is native to the African rainforests. They are the largest antelopes found in the forest, with long, spiraling horns and distinctive white stripes across their bodies. Bongos are active during the day and are known to be shy and elusive. They are herbivores and feed on leaves, fruits, and grasses. Bongos are considered to be endangered due to habitat loss and hunting for their meat, horns, and skin. Conservation efforts are being made to protect and preserve their population.
