What is br101?

BR-101 is a federal highway of Brazil that runs along the Atlantic coast from the south of the country to the north, covering a distance of approximately 4,541 kilometers (2,820 miles). It is considered one of the most important highways in the country, connecting major cities and ports and facilitating the transportation of goods and people between different regions of Brazil. The highway passes through several states, including Rio Grande do Sul, Santa Catarina, Paraná, São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Espírito Santo, Bahia, Sergipe, Alagoas and Pernambuco. Despite its importance, the highway faces several challenges, including insufficient maintenance and high accident rates due to heavy traffic and poor infrastructure.
